LO4: Expanding Game Ideas.

Game Idea 1

Description of game concept:
This is a real life simulation game that is similar to sims, it is called yourCHIOCE! You start with five different life choices to pick from and your player will develop in that category. Each category will provide your player a different skill and once your player gets to certain levels they will have opportunities to advance in different categorises.
Objective:
The main objective is to player the game until your character has died. Whatever category you pick will determine the lifestyle and environment that your character lives in.
Genre:
Life simulation.
Hardware:
I think that the most suited hardware for this game would be PC and this is because it would have a similar feel to sims however you would be in first person view and you can also interact with other people playing online. Another reason for this is that the controls are really simple for this game so there is no need for a game controller.
Target audience:
I would give this game a age rating of 16+ and this is because in some parts of the game there will be violence and some sexual references.
Social Grade:
ABC1
Competing games:
 Sims, sim city.

Game Idea 2.

Description of game:
This is a game the user can pick from a range of different planets that they can then develop life on, each planet has their own properties that will affect the way things grow on the planet. Once you have fully developed your planet you can move onto the next one, and you can also transfer supplies over from your first planet.
Objective:
The main objective of the game is to create an environment that is able to sustain life.
Genre:
This is a survival-strategy game.
Hardware:
I think that the best hardware for this game would be on the PC and this is because it is a game where you have to sit and wait for the most part of it as you watch the life grow. So while you have this game in the background you can do something else, however if this was one a console then a lot of people would be bored of waiting around for the lifeforms to develop with no other way of entertaining themselves.
Target audience:
I would give this game a age rating of 3+ and this is because there is nothing in this game that is controversial and it contains no violence, However I would say that for someone to understand the game they would have to be around the age of 15.
Social Grade:
ABC1
Competing games:
Sim city.
